Plymouth and Beyond Star Rating

General - the Future Inn Plymouth is a modern and spacious, 143 bedroom purpose built hotel, situated just 4 miles from the City Centre and within easy access to Dartmoor National Park. It only opened in March 2006 so it is still fairly new. The hotel offers ample free parking, rare for most hotels in Plymouth. There are different types of bedrooms available, and all rooms can sleep up to 4 people being equipped with either 1 Canadian sized double bed and a sofa bed, or 2 Canadian sized double beds. There are also King Suites which you can upgrade to for just £25 and these rooms are twice the size as a standard room, they have a huge Canadian sized king size bed and the other room is a lounge with sofa, second TV, dining table, chairs and even a fridge. All bedrooms have flat screen TV's with free Internet access, although limited to checking your emails through the TV, access to movies on demand and a selection of music. There is also a broadband point if you wish to connect your laptop to the Internet, this is charged at £7.95, very reasonable. All rooms are en-suite and also have an iron and ironing board, a safe in the bottom of the wardrobe, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. Rooms are a good size, have air-conditioning, the beds are very comfortable and the whole room is very clean including the bathroom. The hotel offers 8 fully equipped conference/function rooms, ideal for meetings from just 2 people, to 300 people. The hotel is happy to cater for wedding receptions and other occassions.

Food and Drink - onsite is The Fishbone Restauarnt and bar which is fully licensed. The restauarnt is open all day every day, and room service available until 11pm. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu as well as a fixed price, set menu which changes frequently. The theme of the restaurant is Westcontry dining sourced from local produce. Breakfast is a buffet style full English, with a selection of everything from cereals and yogurts, to bacon and eggs, to cold meats and fish, so there is something for everyone. If you decide to have breakfast you will get a discount if you book it when you check in to the hotel. The bar offers everything from a selection of coffees and afternoon tea to cocktails.

Disabled - the whole hotel is fully disabled accessible, there are not any steps to access the hotel and there is a lift to all floors. There are designated disabled parking spaces in the car park. Wheelchair accessible bedrooms are available with either one or two double deds. The bathrooms are designed as a walk in shower/wet room and so do not have a bath. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a disabled toilet as well as in the restaurant toilets.

Toilets - there are toilets located on the ground floor and there are also seperate toilets in the restaurant.

Children - children and families are very welcome, and although there isn't a great deal for them to do they may like to watch one of the films available in the bedrooms.

Car Parks - ample, on site free car parking for about 150 cars.
